The Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes

The former city courthouse has been a key downtown hotel for the past three years. A heritage building brilliantly revisited by the decorator Jean Philippe Nuel.

The Radisson Blu and its majestic glass facade standing proudly on Place Aristide Briand, has become a must in the city.

This immense neoclassical structure, with columns and allegorical statues, is more than a big four-star hotel; it is also a chic, contemporary and gourmet Nantais meeting place. The 142 rooms (from 25 to 29 square metres), including 20 suites (from 35 to 65 square metres), all cleanly and elegantly designed, are signed with a modern identity that is functional and respectful of the past. The pristine white beds contrast with the images of the city in chiaroscuro that adorn the walls. In the old concourse, which has now become the lobby, fuchsia and violet colours infuse the design with zest. The Assisi restaurant in the former audience hall, orchestrated by Frederic Laval, offers inventive, contemporary cuisine, and the morning breakfast buffet is worthy of the highest praise.
