This attraction is not for the faint-hearted! Prepare to be immersed in the capital's most blood-curdling legends. Behind the thick walls of this former pottery factory, which has been a listed historical monument since 1981, lies an experience unlike any other in France, where laughter and terror await. The Manoir de Paris takes the “haunted house” concept to the next level. This spine-chilling experience is spread across three floors and over 1,500 sqm and is brought to life by talented actors who interact with visitors, and scenery worthy of the very best horror films.
Its flagship show, however, remains “Les Légendes de Paris”, which sheds light on the dark history and terrible secrets of the capital, with originality and plenty of special effects. Relive the legend of the murderous 14th-century barber who slit the throats of foreign students before handing them over to his accomplice for inclusion in her famous meat pies - the story that inspired the British tale of Sweeney Todd, which Tim Burton turned into a gruesome musical comedy in 2007. The famous Phantom of the Opera, the disfigured monster who according to the novel by Gaston Leroux, haunted the Garnier opera house in the late 19th century, will make your hairs stand on end, as will the Man in the Iron Mask, the mysterious Bastille prisoner whose identity continues to be the subject of intrigue.
As well as this living museum, Le Manoir de Paris has developed several equally nightmarish escape games. What better way to conclude a perfectly thrilling afternoon for teenagers and adults?
Although this attraction admits visitors of all ages, we recommend the Manoir de Paris for children aged ten and over.
