An integral part of French Guiana's history, and witness to the passage of many of its greatest figures, this intimate hotel combines traditional style, imposed by the building's fabulous architecture, with modern elegance. The result is a very relaxing and restful stay.
The house retains all its historical finery, including the original wooden floors and delicate period ironwork weathered by time. The spacious nine rooms have colonial furniture and no shortage of character. Fully air-conditioned, they are equipped with satellite TV, a minibar, and a courtesy area with a coffee machine and tea kettle.
The excellent restaurant on the ground floor has been in operation since 1903, and the bar is probably the liveliest place in the city, frequented by the local bourgeoisie and passing tourists alike.
